Blog Makeover

SF Scriv is currently undergoing a site makeover. My plans are to change the site into a book/article review site with occasional genre relevant articles for writers and readers.

I am actively seeking contributors/collaborators, and am especially interested in those of you who have actively followed SF Scriv.

This site is a collaborative effort by a handful of individuals to share their common passion for spec fic with the rest of the blogosphere.

What is spec fic? Well, spec fic and SF are shorthand for speculative fiction. This literary classification is a difficult thing to define, but here at The SF Scrivener we see it as a blanket term used to designate works with elements of science fiction, fantasy, horror, weird fiction, etc. that demonstrate a markedly high level of literary merit often atypical of genre writing.

Currently, The SF Scrivener only offers articles and reviews. However, we hope to eventually provide author spotlights and original works of short fiction. Check back regularly for updates as The SF Scrivener continues to discover its locale in the many worlds of spec fic.
